The Zambia Association of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ZACCI) is providing the following core services to its members:
Lobbying & Advocacy The primary role of ZACCI is lobbying and advocacy on behalf of its members which are part of the business community in Zambia. ZACCI defends the cases of its members through lobbying, advocacy and by representing them on matters of interest and concern. Given its expertise and network, ZACCI is ideally positioned to carry out this function. Networking Functions The organization of networking functions for its members is one of the core services offered by ZACCI. These functions include regular CEO Breakfast Meetings, Cocktail Functions, Gala Dinners and the Annual General Meeting which provide members with the opportunity to network on an informal basis.
Business Information Information provision is another core service provided by ZACCI. ZACCI supplies its members with timely, relevant and accurate information that it feels will be beneficial and of interest to its members. The ZACCI Information Resource Centre plays an active part in this regard by providing relevant databases, directories, publications and newsletters which can be accessed by staff and members of ZACCI.
Trade Exhibition Local institutions such as the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry (MCTI) are informing ZACCI on a regular basis about upcoming trade fairs and exhibitions (national, regional and international). In addition, Embassies and High Commissions accredited to Zambia are providing information about upcoming events in their respective countries. ZACCI is informing its members on a regular basis about these events in order to facilitate their planning and participation.
Publications ZACCI publishes several publications (e.g. ZACCI Journal) and e-newsletters (e.g. Key Economic Indicators) through which we communicate with our members on a regular basis about various issues of interest related to the business enabling environment, trade, investment as well as cross-cutting issues such as corporate governance.
